Biofeedback Therapy

Biofeedback Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive mind-body therapy that involves using a biofeedback device to gain awareness of physiological functions and provide treatment. The term “biofeedback” is derived from the basis that the tools used provide feedback about the body’s biological functioning.

Harnessing the Power of Mind-Body Connection through Biofeedback Therapy

Speak to Us

Biofeedback Therapy uses non-invasive sensors and monitoring devices to measure and capture information about the internal system such as heart rate, heart rate variability, body temperatures, muscle activity, respiration rate, blood pressure, brainwave activity,  and so on. The data gathered by using gentle biofeedback devices can provide helpful information about our system’s health to guide treatment. After gathering the data, the Biofeedback Therapy device selects a program within its software and starts to send treatment signals back to the body that stimulates a return to healthy rhythm and functioning. Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in a Biofeedback Therapy session?

In the past, a biofeedback device, such as an EKG machine or blood pressure monitor, would pick up signals from the body to assess how our body is doing. With advances in technology and research, biofeedback devices have evolved to now have two-way communication, being able to pick up signals as well as send back signals.

Similar to wrapping a heart rate monitor strap around your wrist, or a blood pressure strap around your arm, in a Biofeedback Therapy session, while you sit in a comfortable chair, our trained and certified Biofeedback Therapist in Dubai will connect you to the biofeedback sensor using gentle straps that are placed on different parts of your body including your wrists, ankles and head. She will then ask you different questions about your health, the issue you are struggling with and your life while software on her laptop will track the signals coming from your body.  After the assessment is completed, the software, using information in its software from neuroscience and medical research about optimal physiological functioning, will identify programs that will be suitable for you in that session. The therapist will select the program and the Biofeedback Therapy will begin with the device sending healthy rhythmic signals back to the body. And just as we don't feel the signals that our body sends to an EKG machine or our smart watch, we won't feel the signals that our body is receiving back from the biofeedback device. It's all done in a gentle, non-invasive way.
